Sunday Tidbits for November 23, 2025 Pastor Richelle Melvin
Scripture: Mt. 18:15-20
Topic:” Let’s Gather!”
Thanksgiving involves gratitude, gathering and giving.
Life may be discouraging, but God is good.
Matthew 6 tells us that where your treasures are is where your heart is also.
What are you willing to give to get what God has for you?
The focal verse is Mt. 18:20 which raps up with Jesus teaching about conflict with the saints.
Some important aspects from these scriptures:
A one on one conversation.
If he doesn’t hear you, bring in one or two others to help figure it out.
If that doesn’t work, take it to spiritual guidance through your pastor or elders.
If that doesn’t work, excommunicate. If the person doesn’t try, the body of Christ has to turn away from it.
All must be on one accord, if they are not for God; stop pushing energy,
Matthew 18:20: "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them".
Gather means collect, assemble; catch; build up.
What happens in the atmosphere when we gather.
Three keys points to think about when you are gathering.
Unity- to be on one accord; gathering in unity.
Diversity- Assortments- different personalities, ideas, tastes. Remember God is a God of order so if you are uncomfortable; pray about it. God is not the author of confusion.
Gathering offers an opportunity-Mt. 18:20. God is in the midst.
It’s time out for causing a chaotic atmosphere and gather together, unify and decide to walk in unity.
Do not walk in chaos or defeat; walk in unity!
Phil. 2:1-4
Get on one accord. Anoint those doors and speak over your homes.
Tell Satan that he has no reign!
Matthew 13:21-30 tells the story of the kingdom of heaven.
The enemy is trying to sow tares into your relationships, jobs and your minds.
Satan is trying todo everything he can to try to break you down.
Continue to push to the House of God in the midst of the tares. Even when you don’t feel like it; push anyway.
Satan is trying to make you push away the seed that has been placed in you.
Tares and wheat will grow together but not your job to decide who goes to heaven or hell.
Stand fast on the word of God!
Ephesians 4:26-27
“Be angry and sin not. Let not the sun go down on your wrath!”
Regardless of what anyone else do, get you right.
Go to God on your behalf for yourself.
It’s not about anyone else but you.
Unchecked anger creates an opening for other entities to fester off.
Stop giving the devil a leader in your house.
You cannot serve two masters. Decide whom you will serve. Guard your hearts and minds. Guard your ears.
Diversity is coming but you have to decide what you are going to do.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Take ownership for yourself.
Opportunity - John 4:35-38
One sows and another one reaps. Don’t miss the opportunity to share the Gospel.
Don’t neglect the moment to invite others to hear the word of God.
Build up God’s harvest. Gather yourselves and win souls that are lost.
Gather all that you have lost tearing down walls to take back what the enemy has stolen. It’s not lost forever! God is a victor! With him all things are possible!
Yes the tares are still there, but the harvest is coming.
What He has put inside will grow! Focus on God!
The fruit will grow.
Don’t figure up! Continue to push! Continue to get in the word! Continue to say God I give you my all!
