Scripture: James 1:12-18
Topic: “Blessed Under Trials!”
Life is not always easy; trials come uninvited.
James offer a promise in the struggle. Temptations lurk at our heart and anger rises before wisdom can even speak.
Three truths to deal with problems:
There is a blessing from enduring trials.
Dangers of yielding temptations
Being called to a holy and measured daily talk is to be in God’s presence
How you see the problem is the problem.
Vs. 12 starts with a beatitude- “blessed is the man who endures temptation”.
Endurance- activity getting involved; keep going; keep pushing. Holding one’s ground under pressure.
Be steadfast under pressure; praise Him at all times! Don’t change because of your circumstances.
Don’t let trials and tribulations get in the way of what God called you to do!
Learn to push through to get your crown of life. Remain Faithful. Gos said this in His word! If He said it, I believe it.
God will reward you with a crown of life if you stay faithful to Him!
Trials are opportunities to deepen your faith and trust in the Lord.
Perseverance Is a daily choice: to hold on to God’s promises; to know that my God is able!
James said in the scripture: God is not tempted by evil. Stay connected to the vine. Satan can’t pull your strings if there are no strings to pull.
Desires gives birth to sin; sin left unchecked transform to death.
What temptation are you not surrendering to God.
Get in Bible Study; Get in your word!
Matthew 16:24-Take up your cross and follow Jesus
Be quick to listen and slow to speak! Live Holy!
God calls us to be different. Righteousness is cultivated in the quiet and humble posture of one who listens more and speaks less.
Use love, patience and self control.
Before you open your ears; open the word of God.
God will carry you through the storms.
Allow God to change your heart and purify you.
Hold on your crown of life awaits!
Transformation is possible and you do not have to stay where you are.
Even in trials and tribulations, there is a work that needs to be done in the kingdom.
