Scripture: Proverbs 3:5

Topic: “Total Trust”


Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding.


Indicates that trust goes beyond the intellectual sense; it is a deep reliance on the Lord.


Luke 6:45-A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored upon his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.


If you have good things in your heart; you will speak good things. If you have evil in your heart; you will speak evil things.


Matt. 22:37-Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and all your mind.


It starts at the heart; the heart condition has the work to truly trust God.


Heart- core of where everything operates from.


Trust-Assured reliance on the character, ability or strength on someone or something. Dependence or hope.


God I need you! I need your strength! He is the truth, the way and the life.


Psalms 18:2-The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God my strength in whom I will trust!”


I will trust In Him! God is the one to chase when things get tough and hard; He is the one you can lean on and He will not let you fall.


Psalms 56:3-4 tells us that you can lean on God and Trust in Him! Do not fear what man can do.


Cling on to God even when you can’t see Him. Hold on to the vine in where your strength comes from! You don’t have to be afraid of anything. Hod you are my strength.


Isaiah 51:5-

My righteousness draws near speedily,

    my salvation is on the way,

    and my arm will bring justice to the nations.

The islands will look to me

    and wait in hope for my arm.


Holding on to God’s arms. Hope to know that He will not drop you.  God’s arm and support can’t be seen; but He will not let you fall. Just hold on to Him!


God’s strength will save you!


Micah 7:5

My righteousness draws near speedily,

    my salvation is on the way,

    and my arm will bring justice to the nations.

The islands will look to me

    and wait in hope for my arm.


Talks about a dysfunctional family. Read the chapter.


Whenever you remove God out of your foundation; you are bound to have dysfunction. Build on a firm foundation.


Stand firm on his prayers! Do you really trust God? Are you leaning on Him?


Is your foundation firm on God’s word?


Trust God with your heart and not your mind and that’s when things happen for you.


Genesis 23-Abraham trusted God that God would provide a ram in the bush.


Daniel 6- Daniel trusted God while in the lion’s den


Luke 1- Mary trusted God be impregnated by the Holy Spirit with the Son of God.


Genesis 6:9-Noah trusted God to build the ark in spite of people calling him crazy.


Joseph trusted God in Egypt. Esther trusted God to save her people.


In Matthew, the woman either the issue of blood trusted God to touch the hem of his garment so that she could be whole after twelve long years!


Will you give God your total trust? Will you Persevere? God is asking for Total Trust!
