Sunday Morning Tidbits for January 11, 2026 Pastor Richelle Melvin
Scripture: I Corinthians 15:51-52
Topic: “Change!”
There is going to be a time when we all will be changed when we’re not who we used to be. A transformation that took place.
There were things that were taken away. There are things that had to be shaved away, things that had to be broken and let go. There have to be change in order to move the way that God wants you to move.
Change is to make a difference in something; to transform; shift from one thing to another.
Many Christians wonder how to operate the way that God does. A lot of us forget that all Jesus had to do was say the word.
Jesus spoke the word and things happened. There were no magic spells. All you have to do is meditate on God’s word until it becomes rooted in your heart that it becomes realer to you than your present situation.
When He makes a transformation in your life, you don’t have to worry, He will do it. Maybe not the way you want it done because He’s God!
The disciples were out on the sea and a man was walking on water towards them. He told Peter to get out the boat. Peter got out and he walked on water. The only thing that changed was him. What waves are you fighting against?
Peter decided that he was not going to be afraid. When he got out the boat, He saw Jesus.
When your hearts and mouths are connected as one, you know who Jesus is.
You say I am going to have a peaceful day but that’s easy. Ask yourself what is going to hold my peace?
You are infallible. You have a sinful nature. The Lord is your burden bearer. He will bring you through it.
God will transform you because you can’t change yourselves.
Romans10:10
Your heart condition has to be right before you can make any changes. Your heart condition has to be right before you can make any changes. Your heart condition has to do something with your confession. Stop talking about it and doing nothing. You tend to say all the things but yet you don’t believe it.
It’s important to commune with the saints. You can’t do this by yourself.
Jesus is our ultimate example of operating in the principle of faith. He spoke to the fig tree, cursed it and walked away.
Have you built your confidence in your relationship in God and know that it will be. You shall live and not die! God is your strength! When Jesus spoke it; it had to come to pass!
Stand on God’s word and Trust Him! ExperienceGod in abundance and more! He has never failed you.
If it had not been from God making a transformation in our lives; we would not be who we are today.
Nobody else should affect your change, you have to change yourselves! When you change yourself, your whole orbit will change. If you can’t walk in a person’s orbit then you need to exit the orbit.
If you want the same thing I want then walk with me. Fall back on God’s word!
It is our year of consecration: purposes and knowing God’s will. It’s an individual walk. It’s time for change!
Commit to something new to put God your orbit that lets everyone see the change in you! There is no reason for you not to be in your word in this day and age.
Transformation
2 Corinthians 5:17-the word says you are a new creation. Keep fighting and hold on to His word!
Malachi 3:6 says God does not change!
Hebrews 13:8 says He’s the same yesterday, today and forevermore!
Who God is has never changed! Change is important to grow in Grace. Even in a dying world, God did not change.
